Regatta 1  IMG_4827

Get set to "ready about" & "Hard to lee"! Let’s go sailing!

STRIDE’s Sailing Program boasts a one-of- a-kind curriculum, with format provided by the "Start Sailing Right" manual of the American Red Cross and U.S. Sailing.   Boats are adapted to meet the individual learning needs of each child as STRIDE athletes learn to sail rigged sloops through on the water and classroom instruction. Classes are held for approximately 8 weeks and culminate with a regatta on Saratoga Lake where students from both programs come together to compete for the STRIDE Cup-- a day filled with racing, music, barbecue, and fun for spectators and sailing racers alike!

Classes are run by Certified Sailing Instructors at the Saratoga Lake Sailing Club .  First mates must provide their own transportation.  Parents are welcome to watch from shore.

Maximum of 15 participants per program.  By registering, you secure your spot for all 8 weeks.

To reserve your spot, contact Mark Moran at the STRIDE office at (518) 598-1279 or mmoran@stride.org

There is a $25 administration fee for each multi week program, due upon registration.

A current STRIDE Application including a current credit card must be on file at the STRIDE office.
