Ski Race Team

STRIDE’s race team, run by certified ski coaches, is for athletes who want to take their skills to the next level. We help provide the advanced training needed in competitive adaptive skiing or snowboarding. Led by race coaches at Jiminy Peak, students meet on the slopes for weekly practices and may travel to Level I sanctioned competitions including Special Olympics. By registering, you secure a spot for all practices and may receive a Race Team uniform jacket. The cost is the same as a lesson price, which includes racing techniques, course practice, and skill improvement. Generally, competitions do not have fees associated for athletes.

Where:  Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort, Hancock, MA

When:    December- April, Saturdays am. 

A current (within a calendar year) STRIDE application must be on file to participate.
STRIDE reserves the right to charge a full price cancellation fee if you make a reservation and then do not attend.

Meet Our Jiminy Peak Race Coach, Clif Mark

Clif and his wife, Barbara, have been coaching special athletes for the past 6 years! They have assisted in many of medals won for our special athletes, especially the travel team to NY Special Olympics competitions. Clif is a graduate for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), now retired, and lives in Sand Lake, NY. Clif has a long career in ski racing, while Barb, his trusty partner, is an active member of the Ski Patrol at Jiminy Peak. Together they rack up the gold medals for our team!
