This camp is designed to teach children with special needs how to ride a two-wheeled bike.
The unique five-day bike riding program is coordinated with iCan Shine’s iCan Bike program (formerly known as Lose the Training Wheels). The organization provides a fleet of adaptive bikes designed to ensure the success of all riders. The philosophy and technology of the program has impressive evidence for success in youth with Autism and other youth with special needs or disabilities.
Campers participate in one 75-minute session daily for a week. Each camper is assigned trained volunteers who runs alongside them to ensure safety. STRIDE will assist campers in getting their own bicycle after camp, if needed.
