Ski Race Team

STRIDE’s race teams, a program run by certified ski coaches, is for athletes who want to take their skills to the next level. We help to provide the advanced training needed in competitive adaptive skiing or snowboarding. Led by STRIDE’s race coaches at both Ski Sundown and Jiminy Peak, students meet on the slopes for weekly practices and travel to Level I sanctioned competitions including Special Olympics throughout the Northeast. By registering, you secure a spot for all practices and receive a Race Team uniform jacket and pants. The cost is $70 per practice, which includes racing techniques, course practice, and skill improvement.  Generally, the competitions do not have fees associated for athletes.

Where:  Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort, Hancock, MA and Ski Sundown, New Hartford, CT

When:   JP: December- April, Saturdays am.  SD: Thursday nights. Travel completion schedule TBD. To register contact mevans@stride.org or 518-598-1279.

*A current (within a calendar year) STRIDE application must be on file to participate. STRIDE reserves the right to charge a full price cancellation fee if you make a reservation and then do not attend.
