David H. and Marisa Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund
Marisa Galante Clark ( 1963- 2006) passed away after a short 8 month battle with cancer. She spent countless hours volunteering at the Masquerade Ball, The Great Race, and the Golf Tournament. Nearly everyone in STRIDE knew Marisa for her warm heart and incredible strength. She governed her husbands Memorial fund until her death.
While they were with us, the loving couple went above and beyond to help STRIDE become what it is today. While they are not with us any longer, their spirit lives on through the people of STRIDE who knew them, and this memorial fund that continues to do the work they no longer can.
The purpose of the David H. and Marisa Clark Memorial Fund is to provide financial assistance for children enrolled in STRIDE’s programs as additional means to fully participate in activities. Athletes may apply for funding for ski lessons, equipment or bike camp which has associated fees. Awards from the fund may also be used to send children to special events such as race camps, conferences, class trips, or for equipment purchases beyond the role that STRIDE typically provides.
STRIDE often helps families that may not be able to fully participate, by giving them financial assistance to use and enjoy our activities.
A committee oversees the application process for disbursement. To apply for this special funding, please download and submit this application (the applicant must be a registered participant in our programs with a maximum age of 21). Receipts for expenditures will be required if funded.
Awards are based on financial need. A full or partial award may be made based on the applicant’s need and relevance to our program criteria. Any questions regarding this, please call the STRIDE office at (518) 598-1279 or email email@example.com.
