STRIDE GolfAn Innovative Adaptive Golf Teaching Program

Golf is often a sport that leaves a child with special needs at home, away from family members who actively enjoy the game. It’s a social game that lends itself to being played at many different levels. STRIDE has taken on the challenge of building an adaptive golf program for youths and young adults to foster another opportunity to build self-confidence, learn a life-long sport and participate with family and friends.

Successful achievements in athletic endeavors can impact the life of individuals living with a Adaptive Golfingpermanent disability. Our goal is to instill new hope and encouragement in the lives of individuals with special needs, particularly children and young adults, through this new adaptive golf teaching program.

STRIDE has partnered with Route Fore Golf Center in North Greenbush to offer this new teaching program in 2007. Eight weeks of lessons will be offered both in class format and on the range under the tutelage of Golf Pro Dave Raylinski.

The program will culminate with a golf outing forSTRIDE Golf at the Range all at Burden Lake Country Club in a scramble format and electric carts. Ceremony to follow with a picnic to celebrate the kids achievement.

For more info on this program, please contact our office at 518-598-1279.

2008 program will begin in the spring on Sunday mornings at 9am.
