john_c_for_websiteAs of September 2010, in partnership with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) Rifle Club, STRIDE began its  Adaptive Shooting Program for air rifle marksmanship.  Whether you want to become a shooting competitor or just learn the basics, this is the program for  you. Using the best equipment currently available and one-on-one coaching, athletes can develop shooting skills to any degree with the opportunity to increase your skills- and even shoot competitively on a national level.

Sessions are held at the RPI Rifle Range in the Armory Basement of the Mueller Fitness Building on the RPI campus (Troy, NY).  The range was built as a military shooting range in the early 1950s. It was replaced with air rifles in 1983 which are mostly German made. Members are trained to shoot with International or Olympic style shooting. The club has sent representatives to competitions ever since it was established.

Individuals ages 14 and older with physical disabilities, particularly military/veterans, are invited to participate.
