David H. Clark Memorial Fund

David H. Clark (1964-2002) was a vital member of the STRIDE family and a life force since 1988. He served in many leadership roles, including ski instructor, camp counselor, Executive Board member, and Chairperson for the Masquerade Ball Fundraiser. Dave was selected as STRIDE 'Volunteer of the Year' in 1995. His life was cut short in 2002 in a diving accident, and STRIDE established the David H. Clark Memorial Fund in his memory.

The purpose of the David H. Clark Memorial Fund is to provide financial assistance for children enrolled in STRIDE’s programs as additional means to fully participate in activities. Athletes may apply for funding for ski lessons, or bike camp which has associated fees. Awards from the fund may also be used to send children to special events such as race camps, conferences, class trips, or for equipment purchases beyond the role that STRIDE typically provides.

STRIDE often helps families that may not be able to fully participate, by giving them financial assistance to use and enjoy our activities.
