Each spring, a group of very adventurous STRIDE athletes meet in North Creek, New York to ride the rapids of the upper Hudson River. The Hudson River Gorge is rated as one of the Top 10 whitewater rafting runs in America....and no wonder!  This is the Hudson River as she used to be-- crystal clear, clean, alive and powerful, as her unbridled whitewater thunders alongside 500-foot granite cliffs, and through awesome rapids like Givneys' Rift, the Narrows, Little Nasty and Greyhound Bus Stopper.

Since the water conditions vary in early June, this trip is reserved for athletes with a brave spirit , must be at least 13 years old and able to swim.  Rafters ride the waves for approximately 4 hours while wearing wet suits and paddling with seven of their closest screaming friends per raft!

This trip is donated in part by Whitewater Challengers of North Creek, NY. Marko Schmale, Director of North Creeks rafting business, is a long time friend of Mary Ellen Whitney, STRIDE CEO.  His generous contribution makes it extremely affordable for STRIDE to offer our kids and parents a great adventure in riding down the upper Hudson River, including the best BBQ dinner after our return!

There are limited openings for this special event.
