Diana Golden Cup Race Series Level 1

For those who haven't attended a race before, the goal of this event is to introduce skiers to the thrill and excitement of racing in a safe, fun, and competitive format. It also Great Race Fun!provides an atmosphere that allows the racers to show off all they've accomplished during the season to their friends, family, and fellow skiers, and receive the recognition that each so richly deserve.

Fifty two racers competed in the 2008 event - and the crowds went wild!

Special awards are given to the top three finishers in each category, but since every racer is a winner in our eyes, medals are presented to every participant during our awards ceremony.  Level 1 races are introductory disabled races, of a NASTAR format.  In order to make the racing competitive between people with varying abilities and disabilities, each participants finish times are factored The Great Race !according to the racers disability classification. USSA points are not awarded in this series and a USSA (US Ski Assoc.) competitors license is not required. Helmets must be worn by all racers.
